Sunil Mastie is a distinguished Folk and Pop singer from Nagrota Surian in Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh, celebrated for his remarkable contribution to promoting and preserving the rich musical heritage of the region. Born on 19 January 1992, he displayed a keen interest in singing and acting from an early age and actively participated in various cultural and artistic events during his school years. He completed his schooling from Government Senior Secondary School, Daroka (Barial) and pursued his undergraduate studies at W.R.S. PG College, Dehri (Nurpur). Driven by an unwavering passion for music, he furthered his academic journey at Panjab University, Chandigarh, where he obtained both M.A. and M.Phil. degrees in Music (Vocal). His dedication and academic excellence were recognized with the prestigious Gold Medal in M.Phil. Music (Vocal). Following the completion of his studies, Sunil Mastie embarked on his professional musical career and, in 2016, founded the renowned band Mastikhor, which quickly gained popularity for its vibrant and distinctive style. He also established his own record label, Mastie Records, through which he releases his music across various digital, audio, video, and social media platforms. Over the years, Sunil Mastie has captivated audiences with his soulful voice and innovative fusion of traditional Himachali folk melodies with contemporary pop elements.
