A man who brings a revolution in technical education to Himachal: Mr. Kirpal Singh Pasricha, who starts the Green Hills Engineering College in Solan; A story behind success.

Kirpal Singh Pasricha is a very reputed name in the field of technical education today. A man whose visionary thinking has changed the format of technical education by introducing the B. Tech Engineering College in Himachal Pradesh. The students have to go out of Himachal, e.g., to Maharashtra, South India, Punjab, and other states for higher education in technical fields. S. Kirpal Singh Pasricha is a great visionary, a skilled entrepreneur, and a great social worker. When he noticed that people of Himachal were facing lots of problems in the technical education system in 1999, he decided to think over it and find the means to overcome this problem, but it was not such an easy task. It has the investment of many crores and also the chance of failure. But S. Kirpal Singh Pasricha preferred to go ahead. He worked hard and found the possibility and started to search for a proper site for his dream project; he got the land at Deeb Bagri, which is 3 km away from Gandhi Gram, Kumarhati-Solan is all forest area. S. Kirpal Singh Pasricha had proven the phrase “where there is a will, there is a way.” Kirpal Singh Pasricha started the construction of the building and road at his own cost to achieve the success of his dream project of Green Hills Engineering College. He got the Best Edupreneur Award in 2013 for this great work. He was born on 21st August 1957 in Mandi; his father had a kiryana business. Pasricha has done his schooling and college from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. He had great interest in business and social work from his schooling. He did many businesses in his life and saw many ups and downs. He started his career with an automobile company in Nerchowk, Mandi, Himachal, in 1975. He got married to Mrs. Harvinder Kaur on 23rd November 1979. In 1993 he started the business of an amusement park in Manali. But two years of continuous flooding has splashed out everything, and this was the time he came to be very down. But as a great entrepreneur, he started again from zero and started work with road construction. After that he did not look back, and finally in 2003 he laid the foundation of Green Hills Engineering College, and now this college has emerged as one of the reputed colleges under Himachal Pradesh Technical University. This is the struggle of Pasricha, who gives the new way to technical education in Himachal, which brings the revolution in technical education. Pasricha said it is all our belief system; we can achieve everything if we have a dream to work. In real sense, Pasricha will always be remembered for his marvellous work.
