Green Hills Engineering College, Solan has received the Best Engineering College Award. The college management announced this achievement during a press conference, where professors welcomed the media. Chairman Mr. S. Kirpal Singh Pasricha stated that he was also honored with the “Him Shri Award” for establishing the first engineering college in Himachal Pradesh and maintaining its academic quality.He said his inspiration was to free Himachal students from problems faced while seeking higher education outside the state. “Our dream of Himachal’s children not having to go outside has become a reality, and today this institution is the best engineering college in Himachal,” Pasricha said, crediting the faculty for this success. He expressed happiness receiving the award alongside Padmashri Hariman Sharma and legendary folk singer Piyush Raj Sharma.
