*The Pahadi Film Festival, Himachal Film Policy, and HIM CINE AWARD will bring a revolution to the entertainment industry.
The *Himachal Film Policy* and the *First Himachali Film Entertainment & Pride Award* were an initiative of the _Promoters of Social and Cultural Heritage of Himachal Pradesh_ and _Him TV Media_, organized in 2018.
For the first time, artists from both Bollywood and Himachal came together on one stage. A strong voice was raised for the Himachal Film Policy, and as a result, the Himachal Film Policy was later approved. The credit for this goes to *Govind Thakur*, Minister of Art and Language, and the _Promoters of Social and Cultural Heritage of Himachal Pradesh_.
However, Himachali film production has still not begun in full swing.
To address this, *Him TV* announced the *Him Cine Award* to honor artists from Bollywood, Uttarakhand, and Jammu & Kashmir.
Now, *Dr. Naresh Kumar Koundal* has announced the *Pahadi Film Festival*. He said that the first step must be to start the trend of short films in Himachal.
He also stated that today’s era belongs to short films and web series, and this is where Pahadi cinema will begin.
He further added that the top ten films will be honored, along with awards for *Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Singer, Best Comedian, Best Newcomer, and Best Supporting Actor/Actress* — just like in Bollywood.
This, he believes, will bring a true revolution to the film industry and to Himachali movies.
