
Shimla: The All India Artists Association, which has been supporting artists for the past 70 years, has given Dr. Naresh Kumar Kaundal the Indian Heroes Award 2025. Renowned actors Prem Chopra, Amrish Puri, and Sunil Dutt are patrons of this prestigious association, which was established by Sudhir Gaur, Balraj Sahni, and Madan Puri.
Dr. Kaundal received recognition for his innovation in starting “Himachal Got Talent,” a platform that has given thousands of Himachal Pradeshi artists the chance to perform on television. “The country needs heroes who actively contribute to their state, district, and society through their work,” said Bollywood actor Rohtas Gaur, who presented the prize.

Dr. Kaundal conveyed his appreciation, saying that it is a source of great pride to be honoured among such great people. He attributed his accomplishments to his wife Seema Kaundal, who supported him through hardships, and acknowledged the difficulties that contributed to his success. He recalled his early scholastic failures, including two fourth-grade failures, but gave gratitude to his mother Kashmiri Devi, father Partap Singh, and wife Seema Koundal, whose support enabled him to earn a PhD and work on research projects with well regarded universities around the world.
