This award is for artists from Himachal, Uttarakhand, and Jammu — like actors, directors, local singers, theatre artists, and technicians. Mumbai film industry artists are also honored here. This helps Pahadi cinema reach a national level.

This award show started in 2018 as “1st Himachali Film, Entertainment & Award”. This show started the Himachal Film Policy. At that time, Himachal’s Culture Minister Shri Govind Singh Thakur Ji gave the credit for this Film Policy to Dr. Naresh Kumar Kondal — President, Promoters of Social and Cultural Heritage of Himachal Pradesh.
